Today, the Irish Research Council (IRC) published a list of research projects that will be funded over the next years, and I am delighted to officially announce the news that I received a few months ago:
I have been awarded the Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship for the project “Language Variation and Social Meaning in Hawai‘i Creole: Reconceptualising Creole Languages through Sociolinguistic Methods”.
From the 1st of September 2023 to the 31st of August 2025, I will be based at University College Dublin (UCD) and conduct fieldwork across the islands of Hawai’i.
I look forward to talking story about Pidgin with everyone who is happy to share their knowledge and experience!
